The Hilton Prague Old Town hotel has undergone extensive renovations over the past year. All of its guest rooms and its conference and meeting facilities have been completely overhauled, breathing new life into this impressive Art Deco property. We find out more.
New look for Hilton Prague Old Town
Located in the historic centre of the Czech capital, the Hilton Prague Old Town has been given a new lease of life after a year of various renovation cycles to bring the property up to modern standards and to woo guests with a contemporary new hotel experience.
Each of the hotel’s 303 guest rooms have been transformed with thoughtful details and 21st century touches. The property’s meeting facilities, which include a 1200 square meter conference floor, ballroom and 14 function rooms, have been modernised to attract business travelers.
The renovation was conducted in stages so that the hotel could remain open throughout the course of the works, and many of the carpets were replaced to give the hotel a fresh new look.
Guest room revamp
The renovation of the hotel’s guest rooms was overseen by design firm Chada, a leader in hospitality design in the regions of Australia and the Pacific.
Chada took their cues from the hotel’s existing Art Deco style, and have reflected this in various details across the redesign of the rooms, the bespoke headboards in particular evoking the patterns of a bygone era.
The overall designs combines classic elements with modern touches to create a stylish and contemporary oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
The bathrooms too have been given a makeover, with Italian marble tile lining the walk-in shower, and a large mirror making the bathroom feel bigger.
Thick pile carpets have been used in the rooms for extra comfort, adding to the cosy escape atmosphere that the new design encourages.
Meeting facilities made new
The guest rooms were not the only part of the hotel to receive a touch of glamour. The conference floor, which boasts a ballroom that can be used for functions and events, and 14 function rooms, has been recarpeted so that all of the spaces visually connect to each other.
The carpet, which features a bold pattern in gold against a dark background, brings sophistication and elegance to the meeting spaces, and was made by British carpet experts Brintons. A neutral wallpaper complements the dark carpets and gives a new look and feel to this area of the hotel.
“The considerable investment made by the hotel’s owners M&L Hospitality, will ensure an elevated guests experience at Hilton Prague Old Town. Working closely with world renowned interior designers, Chada, M&L Hospitality wanted to ensure the guest rooms and meeting spaces were stylish, comfortable and functional” said , the hotel’s general manager.
“With the elegant Art Deco design elements throughout the hotel including the lobby, Zinc Restaurant, meeting floor and guest rooms, we are bringing an authentic Prague experience into the hotel. Together with our highly personalised approach to caring for our guests, I am sure we are the top choice for leisure and business clientele travelling to Prague,” he added.
